Hi! My name is Crystal Fairburn & I live in Derry, NH with my husband, and very rambunctious & lovable 3-year-old son, Ethan. Before becoming a mom, I spent 5 years as a Direct Support Professional caring for special-needs babies and children in the Foster Care System and have spent about 6 years working with special-needs adults as well. I have spent the last 3 years caring for 3 other young children in my home (while being a stay-at-home mom myself.) After my son was born, life was chaotic. He was one of the “colic" babies who cried constantly, was super attached to only me and had severe separation anxiety even at a very young age. It was very difficult for me to care for myself when I had a baby who seemed inconsolable, didn’t sleep much, and only wanted to be with me. This experience as a new mother brought me to where I am today. As much as I loved working with the babies through the foster agency, I wanted to offer new mothers the support and encouragement I so desperately needed during my own postpartum period. As a Postpartum Doula, I can offer my kmowledge and experience with newborn care, light housework, meal prep, local errands, and care for your baby while you nap, shower, or just take time for yourself, which new mothers don’t typically get enough of. I would love to remove some of your stressors to enhance your bonding experience and fill up your mental/emotional cup, so you can be the best version of yourself during this time. I know firsthand how overwhelming the postpartum period can be and I want to help ease your transition into motherhood. I am currently in the process of becoming a Certified Postpartum Doula through CAPPA & part of the Nini Bambini Doula Team. When I'm not caring for the little ones, I enjoy Photography, Camping, Crafting, and socializing with friends.
