I have been a teacher in a second grade classroom for the last 11 years. However, since having my daughters I have developed a passion for helping mothers and families adjust to life with a newborn. When I brought my first daughter home I was very overwhelmed with anxiety about caring for this new little baby. I questioned everything I did, every choice I made, and second guessed myself a lot. I was lucky enough to have many family and friends to help. However, having a trained postpartum doula to educate and guide me through things like breastfeeding would have put my mind at ease and would given me the type of emotional and physical support I needed. As your postpartum doula, I can provide breastfeeding support, assist with newborn care, complete light household tasks, care for your baby while you rest or take a shower, whatever your family needs to enhance your bonding experience with your baby. I am currently in the process of becoming a Certified Postpartum Doula and Lactation Educator with CAPPA.
Attended Certified Lactation Educator Training. This allows the Doula to assist the mother with Breastfeeding.
