How Nini Came To Be

The Birth of Nini Bambini

Like any great story, Nini Bambini’s started with a simple wish.

It was the simple wish of one woman to provide a better, warmer, and more informative place for parents to come together with their children to grow, learn, and, most of all, to just be.

Beginning with a small group of moms and babies coming together in a yoga studio in 2002, that simple wish started to form what Nini Bambini is today – a unique maternal wellness resource and boutique that has helped thousands of people become stronger and more confident parents, friends, and individuals.

To all of you, big and small, thank you for teaching us, supporting us, and helping us build a community that we can all be proud of.

With love and gratitude (today and always),
Nina Cullen

Nini Bambini Holds A Very Special Place In My Heart

I feel blessed and honored to carry on the vision that Nina Cullen pioneered before me.

Nina has created a unique community of providers, professionals, and families, that I feel privileged to work with.

Like most stories of previous and present employees of Nini Bambini, my journey began as a client.
A very good friend of mine had joined this community during her pregnancy, and suggested that I check it out. What I didn’t know at the time, was that something as ordinary as attending a group would change my life forever. And so, my journey began in my first group – “Buns in the Oven”, a free pregnancy group. I didn’t know what to expect, but was in need of the support. After attending various prenatal classes, and groups at Nini, eventually, as life got busier, unfortunately, my visits to Nini became fewer and fewer.

However, the seed was planted, and I would find it again.
I am not one to believe in coincidences, and I am certain that Nini was meant to be a part of my life – I just had no idea at what capacity.

Soon after, I had my second son. After having a traumatic birth experience, breastfeeding issues, and many sleepless nights, I realized that I was being affected by a postpartum mood disorder, and I needed help. As fearful and hesitant as I was to openly admit that I may not be feeling “the joys of the newborn period”, I returned to Nini Bambini. The support I had received during pregnancy was enough proof for me to feel safe enough to go back. When I returned, I shared the emotional turmoil, and conflicting feelings I was experiencing, and I received love and compassion - not the judgment I was expecting. The women of Nini; staff and peers, quickly became very important to me and they all played a vital role in my journey to healing. Unbeknownst to me, I began to build my village. A village of women (and men), who understood, empathized, consoled, and loved me; for all the undone, falling to pieces, weeping, laughing, crying, breaking, and “no idea what I am doing” kind of Mom I was. They put me back together.

I have found my purpose – to share my experience, unconditional love, and support to the women in our community; to empower them and encourage them to be the best version of themselves - as a mother, a daughter, a friend, and the woman they aspire to be.

That’s what Nini Bambini has done for me.

My hope is to continue to nurture and grow the amazing resource that Nina Cullen has provided to thousands of families before me.
My mission is to continue to grow the business, my knowledge, and my team to be able to offer new and relevant services and information to the families in our community and beyond.
